About the Speaker:
Phylicia Adams is the Executive Director of the Stonington Housing Authority, located in Pawcatuck, Connecticut. As a native of Hampton, Virginia, Phylicia began her career by serving in the United States Navy and then transitioned to the field of human services where she worked as a case manager and employment specialist at a homeless shelter. Phylicia earned her master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from George Mason University and continued her career in nonprofit affordable housing development.
Phylicia is a current board member of La Grua Center where she served as a member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and is now the chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. She is a former board member of Mystic River Homes where she served for 2 years. In her free time, Phylicia is an avid reader of mysteries, thrillers, and other fiction and enjoys watching movies with her family.
