Join our knowledgeable guide for an in-depth, walking tour of the Inn and its formal gardens. It includes the Inn's main floor, select bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors, and the terraced Italianate formal gardens.
Originally the 19th-century country home of Dr. William Seward and Lila Vanderbilt Webb, the house was restored and adapted for use as an Inn in 1987 to support the nonprofit education organization. As part of this National Historic Landmark property on the shores of Lake Champlain, the Inn retains its historic character so there is no heat or air conditioning nor elevators or escalators.
The tour is followed by a casual, self-service afternoon tea featuring sweets and savories made by the Inn's pastry chef.
