The Hour of CodeTM is a global movement spearheaded by Code.org, a public non-profit dedicated to expanding access to computer science and increasing participation by women and underrepresented students of color. The event reaches over 10 million students in over 180 countries. Come partake in Computer Science Education week with a one-hour introduction to computer science, where you will use Scratch to create your very own program. We will also discuss how computer science is changing every industry on the planet and why it is important for more people to get involved. No experience or equipment is required to partake.
Online pre-registration is highly recommended and starts 1 PM, November 21, 2016. You must present your ticket and check in by 3:45 pm or your spot may be cancelled and released to the students waiting in the library.
