Hour of Code is set to provide a series of digital taster sessions for children and adults. This international event is held in the week, 5 - 11th December. With over 100 million people attending over 200,000 sessions worldwide.
The aim is to inspire people to learn coding and other digital skills during the week, with the ambition that these ‘taster’ sessions will be, for some, the first steps in a new career in the growing digital sector, famously President Obama wrote his first line of code at an event last year.
This free Cake 'n' Code session is being hosted by Barclays and will be using Scratch, the easy to use drag and drop coding language designed by MIT. They will help attendees take their first steps in the coding world whilst enjoying a slice of cake.
So come along, have some cake and learn a bit of coding.
