You are invited to attend an exciting information session to learn more about Deaf Awareness in order to support your deaf guests!
Have you ever thought about how you support the deaf community within your hotel?
Do you realise that many deaf people struggle to read English so your PEEP forms are very confusing?
You may already offer vibrating pads for under the pillow, but do all fires happen during the night? What if the guest was in the bathroom and a fire broke out - they can see the pad vibrating from another room.
How would you deliver room service? Would you staff bang on the door of a deaf guests room?
Can any of your staff use sign language? Being able to simply sign 'Hello' and ' Can I help you?' would be most welcoming.
There are so many things that hotels can do to ensure deaf people have the best experience like everyone else.
This information session will give you more details about how you can ensure your staff are educated and confident when welcoming deaf guests to your hotel. I will also demonstrate simply pieces of equipment that are crucial to all deaf people when staying at a hotel. You will also learn a little of sign language as well!!!
So please join me on 23rd November at the Blackdog Ballroom NWS(off Oxford Road)
You will have the opportunity to ask questions about arranging full Deaf Awareness & basic Sign Language Training for you hotel staff.
