Hot Topics in Local, State, and Federal Afterschool Policy

How do current local, state, and federal funding and policies impact afterschool program quality and availability? In this workshop participants will understand current policy issues around afterschool and education and learn how they and their stakeholders (youth, parents) can use their knowledge and experience to influence policy change with legislators. Participants will learn key messaging and how to connect with the media to get positive coverage of their program. Participants will receive toolkit and resources on how to do this work effectively.

This is the final of three August tune-up sessions for program and site leadership.
