Description

Jump-start your garden with this ancient technique that can beat the late winter cold! You will first construct your own 3 ft x 2 ft frame to take home, then learn how to set it up by working on the hot frames in our historic gardens. We’ll even send you home with a hand-picked variety of heirloom seeds and seedlings to get started right away!

Location: Creamery Classroom / Lippitt Farmstead garden

Class Fee: Members $99, includes kit and lunch. Non-members $110, includes kit and lunch.

Requires advance registration, limited to 6 participants.

Please wear comfortable and warm clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Bringing gardening gloves is recommended.


Your workshop includes a delicious boxed lunch and you will find the menu listed below. Please choose Option I, II, or III and email your choice by March 22 to t.glisson@farmersmuseum.org. If no choice is made, choice I will be ordered for you.

OPTION I: Ham & Swiss with lettuce, tomato, and onion on a wheat wrap

OPTION II: Turkey & Cheese with lettuce, tomato, and onion on a wheat wrap

OPTION III: Veggie Wrap-Hummus & assorted vegetables on a spinach wrap

All lunches include a bag of chips, apple, cookie, and bottled water.
