San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
0.1 CEU's available for this workshop for Rose State College Faculty
Workshop Description: Virtual meetings and office hours are becoming more popular with improvements in technology (and increase demands in our daily lives). Faculty in higher education, especially those who teach online, are finding many benefits in the ability to work with learners remotely...something that can often be a necessity rather than a luxury.
Ken Dewey, professor of Cyber Security, will share a little about his experience using Zoom, a product that allows virtual meetings, both for individual help and mini class sessions (review or Q& A). In addition to the meetings, the program will allow recordings, white boards, polling, and screen sharing. There are many uses that may help faculty enhance their classes...and the Rose State College learning community.
For this session, you will experience ZOOM by being part of a vitual meeting hosted by Professor Dewey. You will attend this meeting from your office or home as desired...on the device of your choice (having a microphone & camera on the device is recommended to gain the best overall experience). The meeting link & log in details are provided below.
NOTE: If you plan to use a tablet or smartphone for the meeting, please download the ZOOM APP prior to the meeting time.
FYI...Rose State College does have a subscription to ZOOM that will accommodate 20 faculty.
