Location: ANTiPODE Art Gallery 103 S. Main Street, Seattle

Vibe: Let’s get together at 6pm, drink some wine, and watch some movies. We will close the doors at 6:30pm to start the movies.

About Films:

  • Totem Night by Negin Kamran and Hana Azimi Nia–When a young maid is employed at an old lady’s house, she goes through a mysterious experience transforming into a captivated animal.
  • The Tortoise by Amirreza Jalalian–A young soldier returns from duty to bury his father’s suiside, carrying a burden that time and stone cannot erase.
  • If There Is A Ghost Among Us by Paniz Khoshnik–A group of young people, while using an Ouija board to summon ghosts, accidentally uncover the haunting past of one of their own.
  • Shalal by Amirali Sisipour–A boy and his mother don't have a shadow. To have one, they eat other people's shadows.

About Shadi Karamroudi: Shadi Karamroudi is an Iranian director, producer, and actress. As a filmmaker, she has contributed to the creation of several short films in various capacities, including director, producer, and screenwriter. Her latest short film, It Turns Blue, won the Grand Jury Award at the SXSW Film Festival in 2023 and has garnered awards at prestigious festivals such as the Busan International Short Film Festival, Zinebi Film Festival, and Izmir Film Festival.

In 2024, Shadi was invited to participate in the Berlinale Talent Camp and Script Station with her debut feature film script, I Can Hear You Whispering. That same year, she was honored as a recipient of the 2024 Academy Gold Fellowship for Women, as part of the Academy’s global talent development and inclusion initiatives.
