Description

The opioid crisis continues to negatively affect the health of our community residents. H.O.P.E. (Healthy Outcomes through Prevention and Education) for Sullivan County aims to address both the physical and mental toll the opioid crisis is taking on our community and provide education and prevention measures to not only help curb the crisis, but to restore hope in our communities for a better and healthier future for all our residents.

This year's conference features experts in a variety of areas related to opioid overdose prevention and treatment. Presenters for this year's conference include:

Wendy Bender, LCSW-R IMH-E, Executive Director, NYS Association for Infant Mental Health will speak about ACES and childhood mental health.

Adrienne T. Voltaire, MSEd, will speak about stigma and drug court as well as her personal story from substance use disorder to recovery.

Robert DuFour, PhD, District Superintendent and CEO of Sullivan BOCES, will speak on the impact of substance use disorder on education.

Dr. Kelly Ramsey, Hudson River Health Care who will speak on the treatment of SUD, especially MAT.

Dr. Dumisa Adams, Catskill Regional Medical Center, will speak about the effects of substance use on women and children.
