Description

Mentari cordially invites you to celebrate freedom and listen to stories of human trafficking through artists performances:

Dawn Akemi Saito is an actress, writer and Butoh performer. Her multidisciplinary work as well as her collaboration with major innovative artists has been seen across the US, Europe, Asia and South America. She is an advocate in the fight against Human Trafficking. She raises awareness and educates the public through her performances.

Tara Bracco is an artist, writer, Poet and Human Rights Activist. Through "Poetic People Power",she performs Human Trafficking stories called "While You were Sleeping".

We are also proud to recognize survivors and leaders who have worked hard in this anti-trafficking movement.

An exciting part of this celebration will be a "meet and greet" and dinner will be prepared by the graduates of Mentari's Culinary Arts Program managed by renowned Chef Bill Carson.

Mentari will introduce our next program "Hope for a home", because we have learned that there is a high demand for transitional housing and we will try to rise to meet this need. Together, with your help, let's make this possible.
