NBA Stars Coming to Holy Trinity School
The Hoops & Dreams Basketball Challenge, to be held Sat., Feb. 27, at 3 p.m. in the Holy Trinity School gym, will feature teams coached by former N.Y. Knicks stars Larry Johnson and John Starks. On the court the teams will be led by local NBA and NCAA favorite Terry Dehere and skills artist Jack "Blackjack" Ryan. They will team up with Fr. Michael of the Church of St. Helen, Fr. Anthony of Holy Trinity Church and other members of the school and church communities.
Parishioners ages 25 and over who have basketball skills can experience a unique opportunity to take the court along with Dehere and Ryan. The limited number of spots on the teams will be open on a first-come, first-served basis for a donation of $250. Applications will be taken in the order received in the school office at 336 First Street, Westfield, starting Monday, Feb. 1, at 8 a.m. Checks are payable to: "HTS HSA."
Tickets to attend the event are $40 and will go on sale Feb. 8. Proceeds from the event will benefit the school.
The first 200 children (14 and under) through the doors will receive a Hoops & Dreams T-shirt.

Holy Trinity School, a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 2011, is a parochial school for age 2 through 8th Grade, operating from two campuses in Mountainside and Westfield, New Jersey.
