Event Details

Come and join our Fall session of Hoʻōla Music and Cultural Arts!

With each class being 1-hour, this 12-week long session is a fusion of Hawaiian Cultural Arts including ʻukulele and vocal technique using Hawaiian music.

In the ʻukulele portion of class students will learn the basics of the ʻukulele such as history, the name of different parts, chord progression and tuning.

In the vocal portion of class, students will learn the basics of vocalization such as properly warming up their vocal chords, exercises to stretch and strengthen their vocal chords and how to sing several pieces.

This class is based on several Hawaiian values, Aloha (love), Malama (to care for), Laulima (working together), Pono (righteousness). These values are taught to the students, instilling within them the importance to show these values through their words, actions and life.

We hope to see you there!

*We offer scholarships to those in need! Inquire at (808) 674-4188 or email info@ewabeachcbdo.org
