Description

The Hooker Day Parade & Festival
Celebrating Thomas Hooker, founder of Hartford, lover of parades.
May 13, 2017
11 am – 5 pm
Bushnell Park

This annual parade is a family-oriented extravaganza with giant puppets, costumes, candy, Mardi-Gras beads, marching bands, brass bands, and buskers. The parade steps off at 11 am on Asylum at High Street, moves east on Asylum, south on Ann Uccello, east on Pearl, north on Trumbull, West on Church, South on Union Place and ends at the festival in Bushnell Park.

The festival will kick off at roughly 12:00 p.m. and includes live entertainment, interactive kids activities, face painters, Hartford cultural and historical exhibits, Mayor Mike’s classic car show on Trinity Street, a maker’s market, food trucks, and a craft beer garden. The full schedule of events is coming soon and will be posted here and at the Hooker Day Facebook event page.

Both the Parade and the Festival are free to attend. It's also free to march in the parade. Hit the registration buttton to register your marching contingent.
