We welcome you to join us for a fun filled weekend @ Hook’em On The Housy, on the The Housatonic River, CT. We will be fishing the Housy from the dam in Derby to the mouth of the river in Milford / Stratford at the long island sound. Our traget fish will be Catch & Release Stripe Bass. The cut off will be the brake wall at the mouth of the river on the Milford side. We will be fishing approximately 13 miles of river from the dam in Derby to the mouth of the river in Milford.

The derby will start Friday morning at 8 AM and finish on May 6th at 1 PM with a BBQ and award ceremony to follow. On Sunday at our host location Fisherman’s Paradise in Milford CT several fishing and kayak vendors will be showing the latest in gear, tackle and kayaks. We will have a few grills going and some good food & tunes happening on Sunday and great deals on Kayaks, Tackle, Rods, Reels & More. Fishermans Paradise our host has just built out a new state of the art full service tackle shop and the great deals along with 10% off on most items in the shop at Fisherman's Paradise will be happening all weekend.

Kayak & Boat Division: Angler submitting the longest caught & released stripe bass during the starting hours of Friday, May 4th 8;00 AM through Sunday, May 6th at 1:00 PM will be the winner in each open division. In the event of a tie the angler who catches the longest fish first will be the winner.

Youth Division – Kayak & Boat: Our youth division will be for all anglers under 18 years of age. Winner will be chosen based on the longest stripe bass caught, photographed and released. Youth Division entry fee will be priced less than the adult division. The cost for our Youth Anglers is only $35.00 please pay at check in at Fisherman's Paradise.

BRD-Barbie Rod Division: Angler using a Barbie Rod submitting the longest caught & released stripe bass during the starting hours of Friday, May 4th 8;00 AM through Sunday, May 6th at 1:00 PM will be the winner in the Barbie Rod Division.

This Derby will have the following prizes to the winners, Cash Pay Out, Trophy’s & Prizes.

20 Anglers: 1st Overall $400.00, PLUS 1st Kayak $100.00 & Trophy, 1st Boat $100.00 & Trophy

40 Anglers : 1st Overall, $500.00, PLUS 1st Kayak $200.00 & Trophy & 1st Boat $200.00 Trophy

60 Anglers : 1st Overall, $600.00, PLUS 1st Kayak $300.00 & Trophy & 1st Boat $300.00 Trophy

80 Anglers; 1st Overall, $800.00, PLUS 1st Kayak $400.00 & Trophy & 1st Boat $400.00 Trophy

Payout is based on total adult anglers. Overall winner can be adult or youth angler.
