Problem: Black Male Educators are faced with many challenges, isolation, racial bias, racial inequities, internalizing racism, tokenism, and the simple fact that the system was never designed for people of color.

Solution: Center our work to address these challenges, in particular, cultural isolation. Provide spaces and networking opportunities for BMEs to connect and affirm their value as professionals.

Who We Are: UpLiFT Movement recognizes that supporting Black Male Educators is vital in transforming the field of education. Building on our affinity spaces designed by and for Black Male Educators, like are annual print publication, UpLiFT, we are taking one innovative approach to recruit, retain and connect more Black Men to revolutionize the field of education.

What Do We Do: We focus on creating meaningful affinity spaces that affirm, connect & develop Black Male Educators. We annually produce the only publication in the nation that exclusively highlights Black Men who are impacting students nation wide. Since 2020 we have directly impacted 86 Black Male Educators.

Goal: Raise funds to provide scholarships to send UpLiFT Men to national convening with other Black Male Educators.

UpLiFT Movement is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
