Honoring Legends Night
Tue, March 21, 2017, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM EDT
The H.T. Smith Chapter of Black Law Students Association has begun to receive nominations for our prestigious Honoring Legends award ceremony. During the first installment of the series, BLSA honored H.T. Smith, esteemed professor and litigator, by renaming our chapter after him. In our second year, we bid farewell to renowned Professor George Knox, who retired in 2015. We celebrated Professor Knox’s commitment to mentorship and diversity in the legal profession with an award in his namesake. This past year, we honored County Attorney Abigail Price-Williams with the George F. Knox Living Legend Award. Ms. Price-Williams was universally approved by commissioners and became the first African-American woman to assume the role of Miami-Dade County Attorney in 2015.
This year, we will honor Attorney Nikki Simon, Attorney Reginald Clyne, and Professor Michelle Anglade.
We hope that you join us. Pre-Reception begins at 6:00 p.m. in the atrium. The event will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. in the large courtroom.
