Description

Join us for a curated evening of talks, conversation, honey tastings and drinks and the rare opportunity for a sunset visit to the rooftop bee garden in Princesshay co-hosted by Honeyscribe and Princesshay.

A HONEYBEE HEARTS HEART HAS FIVE OPENINGS

Author Helen Jukes will be in conversation with Mary Morris discussing her book A Honeybee Heart has Five Openings. Her book was published this summer to critical acclaim.

A Honeybee Heart has Five Openings is a subtle meditation on our intrinsic and deep rooted relationship with bees, and offers an insightful and inspiring account of a novice beekeeper’s year of keeping honeybees and the unexpected effects this experience has had on her life.

There will be a chance to buy the book (cash only) and a book signing at 7.30pm followed by some fascinating insights into the wonderful world of honeybees over drinks.

---

A SPOONFUL OF HONEY

Food writer Orlando Murrin will give a lively talk about the use of honey as a cooking ingredient, and how this precious sweet ingredient has enhanced food for centuries.

Orlando Murrin is food writer and magazine editor (BBC Good Food, Olive magazine) and has written six cookbooks, including the No-Cook Cookbook and A Table in the Tarn.

HONEYSCRIBE COMISSION - WILD HIVE'S FLORAL HEXAGONAL WREATHS + PARTICPATORY ARTWORK

To mark the launch of this years’ honey harvest, Honeyscribe has commissioned botanical artist Bee Watson to create a beautiful hand-crafted paper flower installation which will be installed in Princesshay. Hear from Bee how she has meticulously created hand-made replica flowers for this artwork.

Drinks and Canapés provided.

This evening will also mark the launch of the 2018 Princesshay Honey, on sale at Chandos Deli. All proceeds go to Princesshay Charity of the Year: FORCE.
