About this Event

HONEY HIPS

Honey Hips are a rock and soul band from Atlanta, GA.

THE ROYAL TURNS

With classic inspirations like Fleetwood Mac and Tom Petty, The Royal Turns have forged a familiar but fresh sound merging rock’n’roll with folk, blues, and pop influences. Since their formation in 2016, the Atlanta band’s guitar-driven instrumentation and rich vocal arrangements have turned heads amongst listeners. A video of their rendition of “The Sound of Silence” by Simon and Garfunkel went viral in the fall of 2016, gaining over a million views and inciting a significant following across social media.

On August 10, 2017, The Royal Turns released their debut single, “On the Run.” Featuring delicate vocal harmonies and wistful guitar lines, the track hinted at the caliber of music that could be expected from a larger studio project and left fans itching for more. This single release coincided with the launch of a Kickstarter campaign for the recording of a five-track EP. With over $6,500 raised, the project was successfully funded, allowing The Royal Turns to go into the studio and complete their first collection of original material.

Their debut EP, “Empty Hands,” was released on May 4th, 2018. The Royal Turns are currently promoting the release with shows throughout the Southeast, working on material for a full-length album, and cultivating their unique sound with ever-growing introspection and experimentation.

RICHLOVE

Richlove is an American southern pop band from Nashville, TN that is made up of members from various touring groups. Their debut single, "Something in the Water" is now streaming on all major platforms.

THE COLOUR NEGATIVE

Fashionable and authentic, The Colour Negative brings a refreshing energy to the Atlanta music scene. With introspective lyrics, driving melodies, soulful riffs and Taylor's enthralling falsetto, these pop trendsetters will be quickly added to your favorite playlist. Consisting of front man, Ian Taylor (vocals, guitar, keys), London Taylor (bass, backing vocals), and Grant Godbee (guitar), this group continues to press forward in pursuit of their passion: music. Ian states the band's drive: “In a world full of uncertainty and hopelessness, we want to show people a greater hope to believe in. This band is our attempt at bringing light into dark places.”

In 2014, the band released their debut, self-titled album consisting of songs they had written over the course of their high school career. Themes of loneliness, love and triumph can be found all over the album from high energy songs like "Resistant Heart" to deeper tones like "Man on the Moon". The band toured the record around the South East while continuing to work on new music. As the band matured, so did their music. In 2016, the band released the EP, "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You, I Miss You", which includes their most popular song, "Somebody" with a total of 10,500 plays on Spotify. The band stepped into the world of pop music by incorporating more synth driven songs tied with their roots of 80's inspired guitars. Songs like "Next 2 Me" and "City's Calling U" define love as something worth pursuing, while "Never Wanna Escape" brings the anthemic sounds inspired by the band's travels to New York City.

Focusing on their craft, sound, and purpose, the band took a year-long break from playing live shows. On December 14, 2017, the band released their new EP titled "Reflections, Vol. 2" in which they rewrote and rerecorded a selection of songs from their first album – adapting them and growing them to fit the new era of The Colour Negative. Not long after the release of "Reflections, Vol. 2", the band began to pursue their next project – a project that would highlight how their struggles have shaped them into the people they are today.

On May 11, 2018, the electric single "Dark Days" was released. Ian felt the need to write about his past struggles and how they shaped him into the person he is today, which in turn, represents the whole band. The single introduced a new era of The Colour Negative with its anthemic sound and themes. A couple months later, the band released their first music video for the single which included elements of 80’s olympic themes with a classic Rocky training sequence. The video hit 750 views during the first week of its release. Later in 2018, the band released their fall ballad called “Test of Time”. “This is what we felt like being in love in the 80’s sounded like”, says Ian. The group is planning on releasing a full length album in the summer of 2019 and plans to tour later in the year.
