Event description

Description

This environmental documentary shows how and why native plants are critical to the survival and vitality of our communities. Hometown Habitat features renowned entomologist Dr. Douglas Tallamy, whose research, books and lectures on the use of non-native plants in landscaping, sound the alarm about habitat and species loss. Inspiring stories of community commitment to conservation landscaping illustrate Tallamy’s vision of how humans and nature can co-exist, creating a more vibrant, inspiring and functional landscape.

We will also share inspiring local success stories and connect you with over a dozen local resources.

Doors open at 6 pm with a social hour that includes refreshments. Screening begins at 7 pm.
