About this event

Sonja has 20 years of experience making and teaching pottery! She is excited to share her love of pottery with kids. The class size is small with only 4 students ensuring that each student gets lots of one on one attention and making time. Each class will be 1.5 hours long From 12pm-1:30

Class 10/12: Learning the basics of hand building and wheel throwing

Class 10/19: Trimming our previous wheel work, learning new wheel and hand building techniques.

Class 10/26: Our last wet clay class, we will be expanding on previous knowledge and experimenting with new forms both on and off the wheel.

Class 11/02: Glazing day! We will be prepping and preparing all of our projects for their final glaze firing.

All work can be picked up a week after glazing class.

Important info, class is held in the basement of the Crane Center. You can access the building in the front or back but if you access it at the side things get confusing. Access to my studio is through the front stairwell which is locked. I will meet everyone at the door 5min before class starts. Please be on time so class can start promptly at 6:30. If you are late you will need to text me to be let in (828) 713-3683. All tools, clay and firings will be provided.

What to wear to class: Pottery is a messy business, please wear closed toed shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting messy and possibly stained. Also, my studio can be a little chilly.

Refunds can be requested up to a week before class starts. After that a partial half refund will be given up to the day before class starts. No refunds after the start of class.
