Dipnetting in the Freshwater Marsh
Monday, November 12, 2018 - 10 am to 12 pm; Ages 6 to 14
Coast: $5 CASH due the day of the program
*Please arrive by 9:45 to allow time to pay the fee

Students engage in biological sampling (dip-netting) in the Savannas Preserve State Park's 1,000-acre freshwater basin marsh. Students will have the opportunity to catch fish, insect larvae and other aquatic animals, while learning about each specific species. This activity facilitates an understanding of wetland food webs and other interconnections in aquatic systems.
