Homeschool Program: Little House on the Prairie - Literature Based Study

This 13-week literature-based unit study is designed for students in Grades 4th-6th and the cost is $65 per student for the entire 13 weeks.
The class takes place each Tuesday beginning February 5th and ending April 30th.
This registration shows up on Eventbrite as a one-day event for February 5th, however, by enrolling for this day, it enrolls the student into each of the 13 weeks.
There is no registration requirement for any day after the initial February 5th date.
Learn about Laura Ingalls and her family's joys and struggles as they pioneered the woodlands and prairies of the post-Civil War American frontier.
Each student will need to bring their own copy of the book, Little House on the Prairie, each week. All other supplies are included in the fee.
The students will not only read 2-3 chapters per week, but will research other people and events significant to the life of Laura Ingalls. As a literature-based unit study, students will study different theme(s) including but not limited to: language art (literature and vocabulary), science, writing and researching and reading comprehension, cooking and frontier living, crafts, and post-Civil War American history. Assignments will be given each week to be completed before the next class.
This class will take place rain or shine. Please check in at the Visitor’s Center.
