October 6 & 7, 2017

Whether you graduated from Lancaster General School of Nursing, Lancaster Institute for Health Education, Lancaster General College of Nursing & Health Sciences, or Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences, you’re one of us! All roads lead home eventually, so seize this opportunity to reconnect with old friends and get to know people who share this special connection to PA College with you.

Attend with friends, bring the family or come on your own – whichever you do, fun awaits you! Explore our amazing new campus, located at 850 Greenfield Road in Lancaster. Join us for one event or spend all day and both evenings with us. Homecoming registration is open to alumni and their families, students, faculty and staff.

Guests can retrieve tickets upon arrival at the welcome and registration table located inside the Cooper Building. Enter through the Flory Courtyard (09) located between the Stoudt and Cooper buildings.

Friday, October 6th

Wine Tasting
5:00 -6:30 pm, Auditorium Lobby, Cooper Building - Registration info coming soon. $10 | Early-bird $8
Led by a local wine expert, guests will sample a variety of wines and learn how to taste and evaluate a wine like a connoisseur.

Progressive Dinner
6:30 - 8:00 pm, 2nd Floor Atrium, Cooper Building - $35 | Early-bird $33

Favorite Professors Breakfast
9:00 - 10:30 am, Cafeteria, Stoudt Building. $10 / Early-bird $8 Enjoy coffee and conversation with your favorite instructors from the 1970s, 80s, 90s and today as you reconnect over a delicious light breakfast. Guests to date include Susan Graybill (Nursing), Bob Hess (Sonography), Robin Harcleroad (Radiography), Bob Brader (Microbiology), with more names to come.

Nurse Practitioner’s Roundtable
9:00 - 10:30 am, Cooper Building, Classroom 1700. No cost, but preregistration required.
Get together with your fellow nurse practitioners for a facilitated conversation about the work you do, the variety of settings in which nurse practitioners work today, and what lies ahead for advanced practice nursing.

PA College Today with President Simcox
10:30 am – Noon, Cooper Building, Classroom. No cost, but pre-registration is required.
Hear from President Dr. Mary Grace Simcox about how PA College has grown and what lies ahead for your alma mater and participate in an informal Q & A with students and faculty about life at the new campus.

Campus Tour and Center for Excellence in Practice Demonstration
10:30 am - Noon | 1:30 -3:00 pm | 3:00 -4:30 pm | No cost, but pre-registration required. Meet at the Starbucks Café, Cooper Building.
Simulation learning at its best! Come see our state-of-the-art clinical education space complete with realistic operating room, nursing station and ICU, diagnostic facilities, and even an apartment for home care. Repeats 1:30 - 3:00 pm and 3:00 - 4:30 pm.

Common Book Discussion: Empty Hands by Abegail Ntleko.
Noon - 1:30 pm, Center for Learning Commons, Cooper Building. No cost, but preregistration is required.
One woman’s journey to save children orphaned by AIDS in South Africa.
College faculty, students and staff are reading this wonderful book together this fall. Join us for a fun “Homecoming Book Group” session – grab some lunch at the Starbucks Café and join in the conversation!

Family Festivities
Noon -3:00 pm, Outside Lawn by Flory Courtyard. No cost, but pre-registration is required.
Share an afternoon of family fun with your children or grandchildren, including street magic, balloon twisting, games and activities. Explore an ambulance and talk with emergency personnel about how they help the community.

Distinguished Alumni Award Tea Luncheon
Noon - 1:30 pm. Multipurpose Room, Stoudt. $20 | $17 Early-bird | Includes Alumni Association mug Join us for this time-honored celebration as we recognize Jane Wallace Kohn ’54 for her extraordinary
career and decades of service to PA College. A representative of the Edward Hand Medical Society will talk about how health care has changed over the past 50 years, and we want to capture your memories as part of our oral history project

Lancaster General: Behavioral Health Update with Stacey Youcis '82
1:30 pm -3:00 pm, Cooper Building, Classroom TBD. No cost, but pre-registration is required. As SVP of Service Lines and Population Health, Stacey Youcis, ’82 plays a key role at LG Health in
expanding the system’s behavioral health services, responding to the opioid crisis, and bringing the new joint venture behavioral health hospital on line. Come meet Stacey, learn about this vital work and share in the conversation.

If your class year ends in 2 or 7, this is your Reunion year! Reconnect with classmates, share memories, and be part of your class picture.
