Event description
Home School family class - Power of Pollinators

About this Event

Every day we should thank the incredible pollinators for so much of the food we eat. In this class we will discuss what pollination is and how it is accomplished. Then we will venture out to the Gardens to watch and identify the pollinators we are likely to see. We will make something very special for a pollinator that is probably found in your own yard.

Home School classes are priced for one adult and up to two children to attend. The classes are primarily geared for 9 to 12 year olds. (Younger children may attend but the parent should be prepared to help them with certain activities.)

Instructor: Sandi Linn, Education Supervisor.

Prior to working at Leu Gardens, Sandi was the Director of Education at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, and then the Curator of Education at the Orange County Regional History Center. She also worked for Savenature.org's Insect Dicovery Lab - Florida. She is the author of Invasive Species, a YA fictional novel incorporating real environmental concepts.
