It's normal to consider your house to be the safest place you can be. After all, it is where you go to get away from the troubles of the world and the stresses of work. Many serious accidents, however, occur at home. Did you know that if a fire breaks out in your home, you may only have two minutes to escape? Early warning from a functional smoke alarm, along with a fire escape plan that has been performed on a regular basis, can save lives during a fire. During this training event, you will hear from Christie Russell of the City of Charlotte Fire Department about how to keep your home safe from potential fire dangers, as well as other safety measures.

In addition, Tracey Questell will discuss:

• Tools and methods to improve your home's general safety measures
• General home management and organization tips
• Strategies for removing clutter
• Home repairs and supplies needed

This Webinar is for Women Only especially women who may be homeless (living in a shelter or transitional home), women who are displaced (not in their own place), young women aging out of Foster Care or women in need who lack a support network and/or lack resources or confidence to gain self-sufficiency.
