Make traditional Oaxacan Mole with Slowfood! Target date: May 5 Time: 4 hours (3 hour work

About this Event

We are excited to present this 1st ever SlowFood workshop exclusive! In honor of celebrating Cinco De Mayo and Mexican culinary heritage, we will be creating a Hands-on, intensive, traditional MOLE MAKING class. Your Mole instructor and chef will be Carmen Pacheco-Borden, a local who sells her own "Carmen's" brand of moles and salsas at Boulder Farmer's Market.

Time: 4 hours (3 hour workshop, 1 hour for dinner) 2-6pm

Learn about chilies and the approx 30 ingredients that make up classic Mole sauce. The class will be very hands-on. We plan to break group up into teams after an overview of the traditional Oaxacan Mole process to create the mole sauces. Will will serve vegetarian or chicken, which is traditional. Dinner will be semi pot-luck. Attendees will be asked to bring sides and drinks.
