About the Speakers:

Phil and Betty Bodman have been married 39 years and have moved 35 times. They have eight children (one Saint and seven in training), 5 In-Loves, and 14 grandchildren. Betty is enjoying her role as AGD (ActiveGrandmaDuty) and general support and encouragement for their adult children, while Phil works for a privately held energy midstream company. They are part of the Diaconate Formation class of 2021 for the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. Their ministry at Christ the King Catholic Church in Oklahoma City is support for the married life, specifically working with engaged couples and implementing a program for "post-wedding" couples to foster support for the vocation of marriage.

Zsolt and Eva Nagykaldi have been married for 25 years and have 5 children. They were raised in Hungary and first came to the United States in 1997. Eva is an early childhood educator at the Children’s Day-out Program of St. John’s in Edmond. She enjoys puzzles, crocheting, and reading. Zsolt is a Professor of Family Medicine and medical researcher at OU. He enjoys singing, making music, and science fiction. They are part of the 2021 Diaconate Formation class in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. They are also professed members of the Holy Family Institute, which is a secular institute for consecrating marriage and family life as a vocation.

Additional Questions?

Will there be any group sharing?

A retreat is not group therapy. We will not ask any couple to share their feelings, emotions, or intimate thoughts with the group or any other couple.

Can we still attend the retreat even though we are unable to pay the suggested registration fee?

Scholarships are available!

Will I get to spend time alone with my spouse?

Yes! Time will be set aside after each talk to visit privately with your spouse.

Will there be childcare?

There will be limited childcare for children up to 6 years old. Please let us know at the time of registration if you need childcare. Infants are welcome to remain with the couple throughout the conference. Advanced notice for childcare is REQUIRED.
