About this event
Apollo Chamber Players and HCPL reflect Holocaust Remembrance Day with a program of multicultural new music by Sephardic scholar Isabelle Ganz and Rice University faculty composer Richard Lavenda. Guest collaborators include vocalist Ceclia Duarte, hailed by the NY Times as a "creamy voiced mezzo soprano", percussionist Jesus Pacheco, and legendary bassoonist Benjamin Kamins, former Principal of the Houston Symphony and professor at The Shepherd School of Music.
This event will be presented live at the West University Community Center (building next to West University Branch Library). Please request a free ticket so that we may keep track of expected audience numbers.
