Hollywood Film Noirchestra
Event Information
About this event
Jazzville and Skip Heller present an evening of jazz intrigue featuring film noir themes and soundtracks with a stellar 9-piece band! Film noir is the cinema of unease, of uncertainty, a universe of danger, sexual tension and betrayal. These classic films were made in the 30s, 40s and 50s with evocative soundtracks that are mysterious, sublime, even whimsical. Don't miss the Hollywood Film Noirchestra, one night only at Jazzville in Palm Springs.
Jerry Stahl will be a special guest. He's the screenwriter and novelist behind Permanent Midnight, Twin Peaks, Moonlighting, Northern Exposure, Thirtysomething and many more.
