Description

This will be an event hosted by League of Women Voters and the Holland-Hope College Sustainability Institute to engage the greater Holland community in our personal, local, regional, national, and international actions to reduce our impacts on climate change.

CLIMATE CHANGE CHALLENGES US TO BOLD COMMUNITY ACTION. LET’S WORK TOGETHER TO BUILD THE POLITICAL WILL TO ENCOURAGE OUR LEADERS TO MEET THE CHALLENGE.


Speakers will include:

George K. Heartwell, Mayor of Grand Rapids (Ret.)

Mary Ellen Mika, Global Compliance & Sustainability, Steelcase Inc.

Kyla McCallam, Socail Justice Awareness Club, Holland Christian HS

Keith Van Beek. City Manager, Holland


Presentations begin at 6:30pm


The event will be held at the Jim and Martie Bultman Student Center which is located in the central campus, adjacent to Hope’s Pine Grove. Parking is available on the nearby streets.
