Event description

Description

Book now to join us for this very special conference to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK). Early bird discounts are available until 30th September.

Together with Simplyhealth Professionals, FGDP(UK) has compiled a programme with 6 of the most influential names in Dentistry, together to encourage you to think about oral health in a different way with a different approach.

The keynote lecture by Professor Iain Chapple - 'Time to put the mouth back into the body: the truth about periodontal-systemic links' will highlight the growing truth that periodontal disease has broader impacts than just oral health. Following the lecture, you will be equipped to confidently discuss and explain to patients the impact of oral health on general health without alarming them.

The programme's other lectures will question the link between oral and other diseases, the important role of good oral health in childhood and a guide to restoration longevity. Professor Avijit Banerjee will provoke the audience into thinking about dental caries differently including appreciating the holistic approach to managing lifestyle-related conditions. The final lecture will look at inter-professional working and education - considering changes required for the future of dentistry as part of general healthcare.
