Event description
Deck the halls with a custom wreath made with fresh-cut, locally-grown greens, pine cones, and berries.

About this Event

Join for a festive afternoon of wreath-making on December 5th at Pine Hill Lakes Park! I’ll demonstrate my favorite tips and techniques for wreath-making and be there to cheer you on every step of the way as you create a lush holiday wreath for your front door.

Ticket price includes all materials. Cookies, hot chocolate, and holiday tunes, too!

This event will be outside under the Lakeside Pavilion at Pine Hill Lakes Park. Please dress accordingly. You may even want to bring a blanket to sit on to keep you cozy. Each attendee will get his/her own pair of sanitized pruners. Sanitized wire cutters will be shared between/among attendees that sign up together (i.e., shared at your picnic table). You are welcome to bring your own pruners and/or wire cutters if you are more comfortable with that. I have gardening gloves to share, however, feel free to bring your own. You may find you don't like to work with them on, but they can protect your hands from the needle-y evergreens (and keep them warm too!). The Lakeside Pavilion seats 80 people, so I am confident that we can adequately physically distance our group of 20 at the12 picnic tables under the pavilion. Please wear a mask when you arrive. Masks can be removed once you are at your work station, away from anyone not in your group.

Additional directions: Park in the Pine Hill Lakes Park parking lot. Walk up to the lake, look to your right (about 2 o'clock)...that's the Lakeside Pavilion we are under -- about 200 yards away!

Sign up now to save your spot! I anticipate the class will sell-out. You can sign up here (there is a small service fee for the use of the EventBrite platform), or avoid the EventBrite fee and Venmo @kathleen-w-kissinger. Class is limited to 20.

About the instructor: Kathleen Kissinger is a gardener, hobby florist, and DIY-er. Kathleen comes from an environmental science background and loves using local plant material to create natural and unique arrangements and wreaths. Kathleen grows organic flowers in her West Chester backyard and loves trail running because it combines two of her favorite things -- running and the natural world.
