Farfields Farm will host our first Holiday Market with local talented artists, herbalists, and crafters for your holiday shopping. The Holiday Market is free to attend. We will also offer a honey and herbal tea tasting and a wreath making workshop during the day which require pre-registration and a fee.

Schedule for the day:

10 am - 2 pm Holiday Market Open

11-12 Honey and Herbal Tea Tasting with Brooke Savage

1-4 Wreath Making Workshop with Terry Lilley

Vendors Include:

Honey and Harbal Tea Tasting 11:00 am - 12 pm

Local Master Beekeeper Brooke Savage will share five honey samples to highlight the many floral varieties, colors, and textures of honey produced in our local landscape. Participants will enjoy pairings of honey varietals to specific herbal teas from the Farfields Apotheke, grown in our pollinator friendly medicinal gardens. We will discuss how honeybees engage with their environment to produce honey, how to source honey that is produced ethically, and whether the honey has been adulterated with sugar.

Brooke is a full time professional beekeeper, mentor and beekeeping educator. She manages over 200 colonies through private and educational apiaries throughout the region, and is passionate about encouraging local forage, bee health and raising locally adapted Virginia queens. She is an active member of the Virginia State Beekeepers Association.

Pre-registration is required. Cost of honey and tea tasting $15.
