Description

1st annual Catch-n-release- Ice fishing tournament benefitting NHL Stanley Cup Champion #27 Scott Parkers' 501c3 "Parkers Platoon" - We're a non-profit organization bringing a "Team Room" concept pairing Combat Vets and retired Pro Athletes- fostering their WARrior spirit and their transition together. "There is no right feeling, no wrong Pain". This years tourney will benefit 501c3 non-profit "FIGHT OAR DIE" :

Fight Oar Die is the first-ever all-American, Military Veteran, ocean rowing team to race across the Atlantic Ocean. In December 2018, our crew will take on the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge which has challenged individuals and teams from around the world for years.

The men and women who have served on behalf of the United States face many challenges during and after their military service. Each stroke we row increases the momentum toward our ultimate mission of increasing awareness of and support for the cognitive, behavioral, and physical health of U.S. Military/Veteran personnel.

Together, our fight will go toward ensuring that our Veterans know that despite anything that has happened in their lives – Veterans can grow, develop, excel, and achieve ANYTHING they want.

** SPECIAL GUEST and Parkers Platoon Veteran Former Navy Seal Pete Scobell will be performing LIVE at the Bistro. Heres his story:

Years before meeting Wynonna Judd and Cactus Moser to cut a country album, Pete Scobell paid the bills as a Navy SEAL and a professional athlete. Two traumatizing head injuries and a solid dose of music therapy later, Scobell was well on his way down the road to recovery. This ultimately led to Nashville and the music industry after meeting Judd and Moser through the makers of The Hornet's Nest, a 2014 Afghanistan war documentary. The indirect result of that meeting was the country single "Hearts I Leave Behind" featuring Wynonna Judd, and ultimately Walkin a Wire, Pete Scobell Band's debut album, which hit stores last year. With 12 tracks written mostly by Nashville's top songwriters, the result is a road trip-worthy record that revs its engine with feel-good soul before shifting into desert country, billowing dust and smoke from a tailpipe of rodeo rockers like "The Fight" and "Ain't Gonna Waste It."

The album was recorded in Nashville at RCA Studio A with Moser as producer and musicians from Wynonna's backing band, the Big Noise. But Scobell isn't just a man with a band. "I didn't just wake up one morning and decide I want to be a musician," he explains. "It's something I've done my whole life. My mom was a music teacher. She died when I was 10 months old, and she left all her instruments. That's how I learned how to play. I was always trying to feel closer to her." Petes CD's will be available for sale with the proceeds benefitting Parkers Platoon.

Saturday night The Lariat Saloon located at 1121 Grand Ave., Grand Lake will be hosting a social gathering for H4H contestants and guests, typically involving eating, drinking, and entertainment.

On Sunday- the after party hosted by Pancho & Lefty's located at 1120 Grand Ave, Grand Lake CO. Tournament Prizes will be awarded at 2:30pm and you MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.
