Is it a match made in heaven? A phenonemon few would have predicted five years ago? Or just a natural evolution in the way things are moving along? Whatever you think it is, it will be a party ... and a good one!
Please join hocoblogs and The Baltimore Sun at our next blogtail party on Thursday, August 11, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Stanford Grill in Columbia, Md. Bring your smart phones, your charming self and perhaps a blog-reading friend or two. Kids are also welcome! We'll be outside in the patio area, so there is more space for kids to be included in an adult party yet not requrired to sit still for (what may seem like) an eternity to them.
The Baltimore Sun will be bringing a posse of their staff to engage with those curious about, in their words, their "blog network, The Mobbies, the Explore Howard site redesign, forthcoming Howard County Desk - Baltimore Sun Facebook Page and anything else bloggers and readers would like to discuss." They've also got a fun and creative project up their sleeves, which will highlight some individual bloggers. (You'll discover what that is at the party.)
As always, your social capital in your local network is a currency you possess and strengthen through your own thoughtfulness and will. Any actions you take to promote the party, tweet and micro-report during or after the event, and acknowledge others help make our local community all the stronger, kinder and more nimble and able to respond to the needs of today while moving toward the opportunities of tomorrow. That said, the hashtags you might wish to use include #hocoblogs, #BaltSun, #StanfordGrill and #ColumbiaMD
See you there (and please register if you're coming to the party),
