HDI is pleased to be offering this free CEU event to our professional colleagues!

 (8:30 am- 9:00 am)  Registration and continental breakfast

 (9:30 am- 12:00 pm)  Morning session:   HOARDING BEHAVIOR: FROM CLUTTER TO CHAOS.  Introductory session on hoarding will address the criteria for a diagnosis of hoarding disorder, what and why people hoard, and the distress that is caused by compulsive hoarding.  

3.0 CEUs (clinical) are provided to social workers through the NJ Board of Social Work Examiners                                                                                                                                                                                                3.0 CEUs for case managers and nurses has been pre-approved by The Commission for Case Management Certification to provide continuing education credit to Certified Case Managers (CCM).

 (12:00 pm- 12:30 pm)   Lunch will be provided by one of our host sponsors, Sunrise of Edgewater.

(12:30 pm-3:30 pm)  Afternoon session HOARDING DISORDER: ASSESSMENT, TREATMENT AND INTERVENTION session on hoarding will explore intervention strategies and treatment options.  We will consider ethical issues when  balancing the individual’s right to self-determination with concern for public health and safety.

CEU certificates of completion will be distributed at the end of the workshop after completion of the workshop evaluation.

* It is required that the morning session  be completed before attending afternoon session.  If you want to register and come to only one session - that is fine.  Just let Anne Pagano know at 800-414-7401 as this is a popular event and registration may fill up quickly.

This 6 hour workshop is has been designed to provide skill -buidling and educational enhancement for professionals with hoarding disorder direct / indirect experience.

Upon completion of  the full day workshop, participants may be eligible for inclusion in the HDI on-line resource directory.
