About the Keynote

Tom Vickstrom has been a Nashvillian since 1991 and has been Director of Finance at The Hermitage Hotel since 2003. He is also the Historian of the Hermitage Hotel. Leading up to the hotel’s 100th anniversary in 2010, Tom intensively researched the hotel history in support of Ridley Wills II who authored “The Hermitage at 100 – Nashville’s First Million Dollar Hotel.” Ever since, he has been producing historical quarterly newsletters, meeting guests and former employees with fascinating stories. Tom is a native of Massachusetts with a degree in Hotel Management from Florida International University. He spent 20 years with Sheraton Hotels in financial management in six cities until landing in Nashville. With his wife Wanda he enjoys visiting the grand hotels across America, playing ice hockey, hiking, and learning about Nashville’s history.
