H.M. Queen Sonja of Norway attends the Grand Opening of Norway House's ICC

Be a part of Minnesota history!

Her Majesty Queen Sonja of Norway will attend the Grand Opening of Norway House on October 15, 2022. The program will begin at 11:00am. The program and block party will include a ribbon cutting, food trucks, the dedication of the building, special guests, makers and community organizations, family activities, and so much more.

This event will be outdoors! Please dress appropriately. Bunads, Norwegian sweaters, and casual Autumn attire. Oh — and don’t forget to bring your Norwegian flag to wave proudly as Her Majesty arrives!

Thank you to those who RSVP’d! While this event is not ticketed, these RSVPs have been very helpful in planning for our block party event. Check this website as we near the event date for important information and updates.

Parking and Transportation

Off-street parking will not be generally available. We strongly urge our guests to use alternative transportation, including taxi, Lyft/Uber, transit, bicycle, and carpooling. There will be security in the area during the event. And a reminder that guests who arrive after 10:30am may be denied entry.
