Event description

Description

Join us on a fascinating two hour walk around Alexandra Park learning about the amazing history of the park in World War One, visiting the secret nuclear bunker and learning about some of the extraordinary people and bizarre events that have taken place here over the years.

We'll meet at the BBC Tower at Alexandra Palace, learn about how television was born at Ally Pally, hear about the people who were imprisoned here during World War One, work out where the nuclear bunker is, learn about the Victorian circus that used to be here and about the old railway line that used to link Alexandra Palace to Highgate station.

Its a brilliant story which - combined with the best views of London - makes for a great couple of hours.

The cost of this walk is £8 per person. It's quite an easy walk but please wear comfortable shoes.

We look forward to showing you round Alexandra Park...
