Description
We invite you to hear stories of Hawaii’s past directly from the people who lived it. Join us for an evening of drama, conversation and pupu and hear from:
* Rev. William Richards, missionary and diplomatic envoy for the Kingdom of Hawaii (buried at Waine'e Graveyard);
* Dr. Sarah Eliza Pierce Emerson, Hawaii's first licensed female M.D; and
* Hali`a, a character representing the victims of the smallpox epidemic of 1853
* Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Performances start promptly at 6:00 p.m.
* There will be three performances occurring simultaneously, and guests with cycle through all three performances, so please plan on a bit of walking during the event.
* This is an outdoor event, so please dress accordingly.
* Free parking is available at the site of the event (Waiola Church).
