Description

This series, taught by one of the district's finest historians, explores snapshots of history and the footprints they left behind.

The Civil War: Between 1861 and 1865, Americans clashed on the battlefield. What would lead them to fight one another and how could they pick up the pieces afterwards? This course invites participants to examine the causes of the war, the bloody course that took its toll on the country, and the efforts at reconciliation.

  • Meeting dates: August 20, 27; September 3, 10, 17, 24

  • This class meets once a week for six weeks from 6:00-8:00 pm.

  • All materials are included in the cost of the class.

  • All Lee County Lifelong Learning classes must meet a minimum student enrollment or class will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund.
