Join us to learn about the longest running community science project in US history!

One Christmas in 1900 when ornithologist Frank M. Chapman proposed counting birds as an alternative to hunting them, the Christmas Bird Count was born!

You will learn about the history of this evet, how it has evolved over the years, how it helps birds, and how you can participate this year.

When we're done with the history, you can make your own bird ornament to celebrate the bird count!
