Description

Connecting Women presents in cooperation with I guide you through The Hague:

The History of Food & Drinks in The Hague

A guided tour

The Hague is the seat of the government of the Netherlands. It is also a city with a fascinating history and architecture of all centuries. Sufficient reasons to visit The Hague or to have a look at what is maybe your hometown from a different perspective.

Through the ages, we have eaten many different types of food. The evolution of our food patterns is greatly influenced by technological and social developments. This is certainly true in The Hague! You will discover what and where inhabitants of The Hague have eaten and drunk on special occasions and in everyday life over the centuries. Jacqueline will show you how explorations, trade and technical developments have influenced our food and how it is prepared.

Jacqueline Alders, a member of Connecting Women, is your tour guide to The Hague. During this guided walk through The Hague she will tell you about its people and the history of their food and drinks.

Duration: 1.5 hours followed by coffee & tea

Participation fee: free for CW members, €15 for non-members (excl. drinks and food)
