About this Event
The live workshop is Saturday, February 27, from 9-11am Pacific
This Black History Month the Amplify RJ & Decolonize Your Classroom team wanted to make sure we continue pushing the conversation about abolition into more spaces to help people imagine and build a world without the need for police and prisons. Carceral mindsets harm everyone, but somehow we still rely on them in society. In the closing words from Assata Shakur’s letter "To My People", she remind us that:
“It is our duty to fight for our freedom. It is our duty to win. We must love each other and support each other. We have nothing to lose but our chains.”
