Historical Yoga Hike
Event Information
About this Event
It's officially Spring! We'll practice standing yoga in the garden as it begins to emerge from Winter before a trek to the wildlife watching platform by the pond. In honor of International Women's Day and International Day of Forests, you'll learn about the Osborne family matriarch and her impacts on conservation to combat heavy industrialization at the turn of the century. She was a rabble-rouser who brought many influential women, such as Amelia Earhart, to speak at suffragette gatherings in Connecticut. This was taken last March where it was warm enough to take off a layer!
Cost: Donation-based/Free, contribute what is in your budget. RSVP required. No yoga mat or hiking experience needed.
A signed liability waiver at the trailhead is required to participate. Inclement Weather practice & FAQs: http://www.nutmegyoga.com/faq/
Directions: 500 Hawthorne Ave, Derby, CT 06418. Parking free.
