Event description

Description

Women won the vote in 1920, but the movement started long before then. Come celebrate the women who started it all: Sojourner Truth, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, and more. Enjoy tea and pastries with your friends while you travel back in time to the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention. All are welcome!


Ticket includes:

  • Finger-sandwiches and pastries
  • A tasting of teas popular in the 19th century
  • Activities related to the theme
  • Special access to objects from the museum collection

What should I wear?

This is an informal event. If you wish, you may choose to wear 1840s attire or a favorite afternoon tea outfit. It is up to you!


Can I sit with my friends?

When you purchase a ticket, you will be asked to choose a seat. If you are attending with a group and would like ot sit together, please coordinate your seating selection among yourselves before you purchase your tickets.

When do the doors open?

The building opens at 9:00am, so come early to enjoy the museum. Doors to the tea room open at 11:45am, with food and tea served starting at 12:00pm.
