About the Tour

Stroll the Crimson Campus with our Costumed guides as they tell tales of the most fascinating moments through nearly 400 years of Harvard history. The nation’s oldest institution of higher education comes to life through captivating, hilarious, and occasionally bizarre stories. Find out things you never knew about the Titanic, rebellious pig roasts, and the mystery of why John Harvard’s foot is yellow. Our stories will entertain history buffs and restless children alike!

Our professional storytellers are unaffiliated with Harvard University, and can give you the in-depth history of the institution from a historian’s perspective. This tour lasts just over an hour, visiting the Harvard Lampoon, the Widener Memorial Library, the John Harvard Statue, among other famous sites.  Come play in our yard!

Tours run every hour on the hour from 11am-4pm Fridays -Mondays and 11am-2pm Tuesdays-Thursdays.

Admission for the tour is $15 for adults, $12 for students/seniors, $7 for kids 9-13, FREE for kids 8 & under. We offer various discounts, so please ask us if you qualify! This tour is also available in Spanish, French, and Italian. Private bookings are available with reservations and start at $120 for up to 10 people, $10 per person after the 10th person. To put together a group, email us at info@cambridgehistoricaltours.org.

We will gather by the Visitor Information kiosk at the Harvard Square T Stop. You can’t miss our guides in hoop skirts and top hats!

Please pardon our appearance as we rebuild our website http://cambridgehistoricaltours.org/tours/tour-of-harvard/ and call (617) 520-4030 for latest schedule and details.
