The Joel Lane Museum House is proud to present a lecture called “Historic Cemeteries and Our Heritage.” The City of Raleigh cares for three historic cemeteries: City Cemetery, O’Rorke Cemetery, and Mt. Hope Cemetery. Emily Grant will speak about the importance of these sacred spaces, the stories they tell of Raleigh’s past, and the work being done by Raleigh City Cemetery Preservation, Inc. to restore and upkeep these local treasures.
