Event description

Description

Join us as we embark on our visit to The Maryland Historical Society, on Tuesday, October 3rd at 9am. The society will be closed to the public on that day and our tour will be conducted by the Society CEO and the curator. See exhibits that explore the people places and events that shape Maryland’s past (the original version of the Star Spangled Banner resides here).

Next we board our coach and depart for lunch at the Engineers Club, housed in the Garrett-Jacobs Mansion, a combination of four turn of the century mansions, clearly the finest legacy of the Baltimore Golden Age. A lunch visit you will not soon forget!

Then its off to the Basilica, built between 1806 and 1821 and is the first great metropolitan cathedral constructed in the United States after the adoption of the Constitution. We will be visiting the undercroft (crypt) where you can view the very early construction of the brick arches,(bring your cameras).

We return to AAMC by 4 PM (traffic permitting). Reserve Your Seat Now: $110.00 all fees, taxes and gratuities are included.

As always your friends and family are invited to join us. For your questions, Coach co-captains for this event are Liz theulvilas@verizon.net, and Don dhjump@aol.com.
